Several former students have been asking me about the situation of the Alumni/ae and their contribution to the College. I must admit that the College has a very vibrant group of former students. What is very impressive is that several of them visit the college and keep up their association with the college. The attachment of the former students to the college has been inspirational.

Raj has over 15 years' experience in the area of communication that includes stints in journalism, advertising, content management, e-learning, and technical editing. An alumnus from the 1990 batch, Vimal graduated in Physics, Electronics and Mathematics. He also holds an MBA degree from Bharathidasan Institute of Management. He is currently the Business Director - Media in Dentsu Communications.
Vimal has 16 years of experience in the Media domain with

A graduate from the Economics, Political Science and Sociology (EPS) stream, David passed out in 1989. He chose the path unknown and less trodden and soon found himself managing not one but two companies.He is currently the Managing Director of

He is an IAS officer of the 1987 batch and belongs to the Karnataka cadre. Currently, he holds the prestigious post of the "Secretary to Chief Minister", Government of Karnataka.
Mr. M. Lakshminarayana is a 1979-batch alumnus of St. Joseph's College of Arts and Science. He graduated in History, Economics and Political Science. He also holds a degree in Law.In his illustrious career, he has worked in diverse areas from being deputy commissioner (DC) of Shimoga and Gulbarga districts to commissioner of Agricultural Marketing and the Transport Commissioner.

| Â |  Fr Melwyn Pinto S.J. (Director)
Fr Melwyn Pinto S.J. was ordained as a priest in December 2007. He graduated from Dharwad University and obtained his post-graduation degree from Mangalore University in Journalism and Mass Communication.
As part of his priestly studies, he studied Philosophy at Jnanadeepa Vidyapith, Pune. He also learnt Theology at the Regional Theological Centre, Anekal, as well as from Jnanadeepa, Pune.Fr Melwyn currently heads the PG Department of Communication, St Joseph's College (Autonomous).
